影片根據張康明作家所著的同名小說改編，講述20代后半的主人公桂娜（高我星 飾）拋下工作、家人、男朋友，為了尋找自己的幸福前往新西蘭的故事。 桂娜覺得“討厭韓國”，“無法在這里生活下去了”，因此決心移民。載仁（朱綜赫 飾）為了獲得永久居住權而來到新西蘭留學，之后和桂娜一起在澳大利亞相互依靠著生活，最終發展為戀人。
