湯美琪（陳鳳玲）不能忍受丈夫簡君豪（葉良財）有外遇，于是向他提出離婚。君豪為了爭奪女兒的撫養權不惜使出手段，以他的人際關系以及身份來壓倒美琪。在美琪最無助的時候，她的大學同學連安生（張振寰）愿意為她打這場官司。在大家的預料之外，安生竟然贏了這場官司，美琪也得到了孩子的撫養權。 離婚后的美琪想繼續往法律系發展，但是她的事業經過不少跌跌撞撞，也面對過許多棘手的案件。雖然如此，安生總是在美琪的身旁支持著她，幫她渡過難關。美琪與安生也在此時喜歡上彼此。美琪后來碰上了事業以來最棘手的案件，那就是替安生洗脫謀殺的罪名！她起初相信安生的清白，但是所有的證據都指向他。美琪該如何打這場官司？ 她是否該接受他就是一個冷血無情的殺人兇手？
